We have travelled from Amsterdam to Budapest and wanted to see the remainder of the Danube. We found the area very different, not as interesting but the cruise itself was enjoyable. The area has seen it share of communism and war. Plenty of bullet holes throughout the region.

Budapest and Bucharest are both fascinating cities although the remainder of the owns leave a lot to be desired. The excursions offered were not the best but more than likely there isn't much available.

There was quite a mixture of passengers from numerous countries which always adds interest to the cruise. A note to anyone travelling on Scenic. It is suggested a jacket for the men but I saw only two gentlemen bother. It is a more relaxed atmosphere with smart casual dinner dress. The hotels provided both before and after were excellent including the transfers to and from the airport and ship. All in all a good cruise and we would travel with Scenic again.
