Norwegian Jade Cruise Review by greenfinch
- Sail Date: May 2018
- Destination: Norwegian Fjords
- Cabin Type: Family Balcony
We ate breakfast in O'Sheeghans most mornings, we found the service there prompt and the food was delicious as it was in all of the dining options. We ate in the speciality restaurants too and were not disappointed. Cagney's is my husbands favourite, mine is La Cucina, but all are worth paying for. What we thought was a nice touch was the grill at the back of the ship where you could make your own sandwiches, grab a burger or have coffee and cake whilst looking at the beautiful scenery. This was also open in the morning for breakfast.
We thought the entertainment on the ship was good there was always live music in all of the venues and it was nice to have a cocktail before dinner and listen to some great singers. We also enjoyed most of the amenities on board, we got swimming most days and there was always room in the hot tubs. We also enjoyed the trivia that the Cruise Director's staff put on throughout the day. It was fun and a good way of meeting people.
We orgainised our own excursions as we find NCL excursions quite expensive, that is about the only downside of cruising with NCL. We booked the Flam railway on line before we cruised and we also booked a sightseeing tour in Geiranger.
All in all we had a fantastic holiday and were made to feel very special and I would definitely recommend this cruise so much so that we have booked for next year.
