We chose this cruise because we like the Adventure class of ships and it left out of Port Liberty, which is only a short drive from our home in Pennsylvania. We traveled with our daughter, son-in-law and their four daughters. We were on the Explorer a few years ago and really enjoyed it.

While we all enjoyed the trip, there were several disappointments. The long lines to get through the security checkpoint were unnecessary. There were several unopened stations, causing us a 45-minute wait to get checked through. Once through that, we were on the ship in 15 minutes.

We had a balcony on deck 9, which was lovely. So much storage space that we actually had an empty drawer! Our room attendant, Eddie, was very attentive and kept the room immaculate.
