This was my first visit to Europe. Having heard rave reviews regarding tulip tours, I was excited to see the tulip fields and gardens as well as touring Amsterdam and northern Holland, myself. I traveled with Globus a few years ago on a bus tour through the American West and it was a fabulous trip. It seemed logical going with a Globus company cruise line. I was not disappointed.

The ship, service, food, staff and crew and our cruise director and local tour guides exceeded my expectations. The weather was perfect, the pace was perfect. Although, I would have preferred more time in Rotterdam. I’m also sorry there wasn’t an excursion to The Hague. But despite that the cruise was fabulous and I would sail with Avalon again.

PS.. when we asked about having herring on the ship, our cruise director actually went to market himself and brought back herring for lunch!!
