Just returned from our first cruise. After hearing numerous cruise stories from other family members, we finally decided to cruise.
About us - We are 62 & 65 retirees & have been Cruise holdouts. We normally do 2 trips a year where we make all the arrangements-air, accommodations, car rental, attractions, dining, etc. it’s a lot of work but also part of the fun of trip planning.
We had no plans to travel at this time of year(February) but had a bad case of winter blues. We looked into Florida & Arizona at the height of the season Not a lot of availability. Also been there last year. Looking at options & remembered seeing cruise ships out of New Orleans. Husband was slightly reluctant. Picked Norwegian based on sisters personal recommendation, size of ship, & it appeared to be more adult oriented.
Obsured view. Great location Husband has a bit of claustrophobia so thought window were help. It did. Cabin was roomy more than enough space for our belongings. I loved the bed - very comfortable.
we Explored New Orleans evening before departure. Fun time
Walked to town. Should have taken some transportation. Enjoyed fishing village. Would do again
