We planned the holiday with our friends Margaret and John Welsh and were extremely excited by the prospect of visiting Singapore,Thailand, Vietnam and Hong Cong. The ship was described as five star but frankly fell far short of our expectations. We boarded the ship on the morning of 21st February about 11.30am, waiting until after 2pm to gain access to our cabin. We weren’t impressed about being harassed to buy a “drinks package” as soon as we boarded. Our luggage was delivered to the cabin minus one suitacase which unfortunately, due to an oversight on my husband’s part, contained all my medicatio, distressing. The suitcase had been taken to what I would describe as a clearing area, the problem being that it contained a small travelling iron. After queuing, along with many other passengers, we was able to remove the iron and retrieve the suitcase. We have been on numerous cruises before but never Celebrity Cruises. We learned that laundry facilities were non existent so it seemed sensible to take a travelling iron. The cabin was perfectly acceptable but we were shocked to discover that tea making facilities were not provided, very poor and extremely disappointing.

Food in the restaurants was on the whole very good apart from stale crackers being served with the cheese. The staff were extremely courteous and helpful.

The entertainment was not up to the standard of other ships we have sailed on.

Cabin was perfectly acceptable apart from lack of tea making facilities.
