We had done two Viking river cruises and wanted to see how their ocean cruises were. Everything was first class - what we expected from Viking. The food was good- particularly liked Manfredi's, the Italian restaurant. Chef's Table was a good dining experience, but check daily menu before committing. Service was generally excellent, but it was a little slow at times at dinner, especially when we were dining at an eight-person table. Bar staff in Explorer's lounge were extremely personable and made cruise more enjoyable. All day excursion to Chichen Itza was well worth the time and additional expense. The guides were superb.. Snorkeling in Belize was very efficient and very well run, allowing us time to tender into Belize for a self guided walking tour. The trolley tour of Key West was fine and gave us time to wander around, have lunch and a beer (maybe two) at Sloppy Joe's and get an excellent guided tour of the Truman ""Little White House".
Also the spa seemed to be a well kept secret. Enjoyed a massage with none of the usual upselling we've experienced on other cruise lines.
