To begin, the ship was beyond beautiful. It was relatively new and was beautifully maintained. There were an abundance of public areas to relax in, whether for a quiet spot to read or a comfortable spot to visit with friends. We were in a Penthouse Verandah Stateroom, which was beautifully outfitted and enormous, by cruise ship standards. We very much enjoyed our meals in The Restaurant and also The World Cafe, but really loved Manfredi’s and ate there as often as we could. We tried The Chef’s Table once, hated almost every course, and cancelled our remaining reservations there. Some of the entertainment was very enjoyable, but as others have said, they could definitely use more of it. Every staff member that we came in contact with was exceptionally friendly and helpful......there’s no way these people could ever be improved upon. As for shore excursions, I’d give it about a 50/50......some pretty good, some not so much. All in all, it was my third cruise, and by far the best. I ‘m pretty much thinking that I would prefer to book only Viking cruises from now on.
