This was our first time cruising, so we have no comparisons. We are a family of 5 with three children - ages 12, 8 and 8. We are pretty easy to please and don't tend to sweat the small stuff.

We arrived in Fort Lauderdale the night before and took a cab to the port. Embarkation was very well organized and the lines moved quickly. We headed right to the Windjammer to eat lunch. It was busy, but we had no trouble finding a seat. Food was pretty good for a buffet - lots of variety.

We booked two interior interconnecting staterooms. This worked out really well. The three kids slept in their own room and we had our own space and privacy. The rooms were clean with more than adequate storage. We had a hot water issue part way through the trip, but just used the other shower until we let our room steward know.

The cabins were fine. Interconnecting was a great option for us. Adequate space and clean.

Port Reviews

Costa Maya

We reserved with Pez Quadro Beach Club in advance. The Beach Club is located at 40 Cannons Hotel. We had lounge chairs, unlimited drinks and one menu item each. Food was good, drinks were cold and the place was clean. It was quite windy, so we didn't use any kayaks or other equipment.
