Should have checked the details of this ship before going on it. For 3000 passengers they had TWO hot tubs, one for the Serenity area and one for the rest. The Lido restaurant serving areas were an improvement with the pod areas for serving food instead of the single ones with the long lines. The good thing in Cape Canaveral, was the embarkation and debarkation which both were quick and flawless.
Carnival has been going "on the cheap" for a while now, From a basket of items on the bathrooms, down to a single bar of soap. You have to request the robes now instead of already being in the cabin. At least Carnival has the biggest size base cabins of all the
other cruise lines. ( if you choose the ocean view cabin, it is bigger than the balcony one} The "entertainment" now consists mostly of using the guests as "performers" instead of having professional ones. The Sunshine has only TWO decks for the theater instead of the three or four on the other ships, that's a clue that they didn't put much effort on the entertainment part of the ship. The TV channels consisted of CNN news, no movies nor Miami channels like on other Carnival ships.
