Wanted to try this ship. Good value. Wanted to visit Costa Maya. Embarkation was a bit disorganized. Broken escaltor meant having to use one elevator to get to the check in hall. Smooth going with RCCL after the elevator. We enjoy the activities, food and wait staff service (Roy and Wu), the nightly shows and especially the ice shows, the music in the lounges (Simon John and the Nav band), the enrichment activities (Daniel Edward), ship layout and size(not too big and not too crowded and the Promenade), Peek-a-Boo bridge is a favorite. Missed opportunities to dance in the Star Lounge though. Roy and Wu in the My Time Dining Room. Michael Kelly Martin, our room attendant and was particularly attentive and responsive to our needs (loved the towel animals!) Daniel Edward for his enrichment activities , overall activities and his filling in for the cruise director while the CD was ill, Rosebeth in Windjammer. All were excellent and greatly added to our enjoyment of the cruise. Shows: Welcome Aboard - a bend of headliner comedian and short performances by the Navigator Singers and Dancers and the (great) Band! Ballroom Fever - performances from the featured ballroom couple, Andrii and Tetiana, the Navigator Singers and Dancers and Band! All Access - contemporary entertainment with performances from the ballroom couple, Andrii and Tetiana, the Navigator Singers and Dancers and Band! Ice Dancin' - spectacular ice show. How do they do all those moves on such a small sheet of ice? Good Dining Room meals: salmon, beef tenderloin, spicy pork, love those cold fruit soups for appetizers! Many of the main dining room offerings are also available in the Windjammer for dinner. The chocolate bread pudding in W'jammer was good, the tiramitsu and cheesecake in the MD room were good. Great time with Simon John in the Schooner Bar each night. Good music selections (getting tired of Sweet Caroline repeated requests though.) Friendly came to say Hi most nights to passengers during breaks. Star Lounge had various jam session with members of the Navigator Band playing with entertainers from the other lounges. Hugh and Henry were full of energy and fun! Go see Daniel Edward enrichment session on mindfulness if you like this sort of thing. He was interesting and engaging and funny! Good selection of snacks in Cafe Promenade. We were so busy that we didn't play mini golf for the first time in ten (10) cruises. We had a great time and hope you do also!!!

Cabin Review

Cabin 634x
Appeared clean and tidy. Comfy bed. Enough space as we typically spent only 7-8 hrs in the cabin (6 hrs. +/- for sleeping) daily. They removed the small 'coffee' table which provided more space to move. Adequate closet space and hangers. Good deck location near dining rooms and elevators/stairs but not too close for excessive noise. Only two (2) power outlets so plan accordingly. DON'T BRING A PLUG STRIP!!!!! Hair dryer in room.
