Travelled on the NCL Sun 2008 and was not impressed. Due to the price point(10 Christmas cruise), I decided to give NCL another try. I liked the size of the ship as it seemed more like a ship and less like a resort. It was the perfect size for us.
Ship is older but has been recently refurbished and feels modern. I felt the ship was easy to navigate and rarely had problems with crowding.
Cabin was on the small side but well thought out. Only complaint was the difficulty of getting to the balcony when the sofa bed was in use. The room was primarily used for sleep and was comfortable. Loved the bed!
Our cabin was comfortable and quiet. Efficient floor plan with enough storage for our party of three.Difficult to get to balcony when sofa bed is in use. Useful mini fridge within storage wall. Beds were comfortable but the sofa bed required a foam layer for comfort(ask room steward for one). Bathroom was tight but worked well.
Did a quick walking tour of Falmouth before returning to cruise port. Spent the afternoon at Margaritaville. Not a favorite port.
We took a local tour for $20 per a person. As requested, we were dropped off at the beach(for snorkeling) towards the end of the tour. the beach had fees. Taxi to town from beach was $20. This was the favorite island on the cruise.
We arrived on Christmas day so service was limited. We did an island tour followed by snorkelling for $25 per a person. time here.We had a wonderful
Took a minibus to the beach club $5 per person.
