Sail Date: Dec 2017
Cabin: Balcony Stateroom

This was a last minute decision with limited choices. Wanted to try a new line we had not been on before. Horrible mistake from the start.

Price: typical price-gouging. Instead of working on forging good relationships and repeat business, like so many other corporations, Norwegian doubles their rates during higher travel seasons (economic terrorism).

None of the ship's "tips" or "useful info" mentioned needing to arrive at Port of Miami over two hours early to make your embarkation time. The port has no traffic management, and is peppered with misguiding or no directional signs, and mostly non-English speaking employees or difficult to understand immigrant employees. Expect two hours of stress and gridlock.

Cabin Review

Balcony Stateroom

Cabin BE

Above average size and quality. Needed maintenance to clear the deck drain in the shower, and had to prompt the steward on several small tasks such as refilling the mini-bar and ice-bin. Contrary to all other cruises, steward never introduced himself and was very impersonable.

Port Reviews

Miami

Port of Miami disorganized, and riddled with traffic gridlock. Expect to sit in traffic for 2 hours just to get to the ship and park. If you miss your first loop around, expect to miss the cruise.

Great Stirrup Cay

Again, not worth leaving the ship. With 2 hour tender wait on/off the ship, we had very little time to enjoy the port. Lunch area was closed early, no time posted anywhere as to how long it was open. By the time we got off the ship and to the island, lost lunch opportunity. Once again, too many people. Could not find a lounge chair anywhere on the beach to enjoy the amenities we paid for. Musical entertainment in many instances both on/off the ship, way too loud.

Grand Cayman (Georgetown)

Little time to do much with a 2 hour wait getting on/off the ship due to tendering shortages.
