We were on two back-to-back cruises on the Sirena for a total of six weeks. This is the first time we have been on a ship this small and learned that you have to give to get.

On the first leg of our cruise the ship was only 2/3 full, so we were upgraded to a balcony. It was a nice size and the bed and linens were wonderful. I think Oceania has the best beds at sea. The cabin attendants were also outstanding.

The first leg from Barcelona to Miami included a transatlantic. We have been on TAs before and always enjoyed them because of the many things to do. But Sirena did not seem to have many activities that appealed to us. There were two lectures a day, but that was it unless you wanted to play bridge or mah jongg or beanie bag toss. We made suggestions on the mid-cruise questionnaire that some activities would have been to have movies during the day, chats with the entertainment staff about what their experience is like, and more moderately priced wine tastings. We also tried to find other passengers to play hand and foot and samba card games. We put two notices in the card room to sign up, but they kept disappearing. Eventually they started putting puzzles in the library, but one woman would sit there all day and work the puzzle to completion. The ship can't help that lack of consideration by passengers for other passengers.

We found the room to be of an adequate size.
