My husband and I celebrated our 60th Birthday with this River Cruise. We had a pre cruise stay in Prague with Scenic for 3 days. It was lovely and our guide was very good. The hotel Imperial Deco was perfectly located for getting around the city. We were transferred to Budapest to start our River Cruise. Embarkation was smooth with absolutely no issues. My only complaint was we didn't have enough time in Budapest. Our bus did not arrive until close to 5:00 pm and then we only had the following day and we left port late afternoon. I was not impressed with the City tour which I had chosen. I would recommend hiring a private tour guide for that day. You will see much more of the city. The Jade was a beautiful cruise ship and the tour director Werney was amazing. His humour and entertainment was half of the fun on the ship. Breakfast and lunch were buffet which I don't particularly care for. I don't mind buffet breakfast but would rather something different at lunch. I think we had 3 buffet dinners on board which I really did not care for. The food was average to above average for a cruise ship. The excursions were very interesting and most of them I would recommend. In Vienna, my husband and I did hire a private tour guide for the afternoon because I felt our excursion did not show the city at all. The ship is all inclusive so you eat and drink as much as you want and there is no bill at the end. All excursions are also included. We also did the post stay in Amsterdam which was lovely. To summarize the 15 day cruise, I would say Scenic scored very well and I would definitely take another cruise with Scenic.
The cabin was perfect size for the two of us. It has a lot of storage space for the size of the room. The bed was comfortable. It's location was very good as we did not hear any noise from the engine room.
