The cruise itself was great but I wanted anyone taking this ship or Itinerary to beware of a few things. If you take a ship that does the Honduras it would be wise to stick to the cabs or vans inside the gate. There are those outside the gate clamoring for business but the experience will be WAY below par. My wife and I took a ride with a guy named Carland and I believe his cab number that day was 0235, STAY AWAY FROM THAT GUY! It should have been a sign when he got a ticket as soon as we got on the street. He took us out for about 3 hours where we spent an hour eating island food (not worth your money). He wanted to act disappointed after getting $50! I was about to take, YES TAKE! my money from him when my wife told him that we didn't plan on being out that long so he should be glad I gave him $50 for nothing. He spent most of the time flirting with girls on the street than he did taking us on a tour of the island. REMEMBER!! Stick to ship excursions or cabs inside the gate or along the corridor leading to the parking lot.

Onboard Specialty Restaurants: We cruised on the Gem in 2016 and the specialty restaurants Cagney's, Teppanyaki, and Moderno were AWESOME! On the Escape they were awful! The meats were over cooked even though we ask for Medium! We had to tell the cook at Teppy the meat was cooking too long.

If you decide to use CruiseNext make sure you get someone with knowledge. The tall guy cost me a $1000 by not knowing what should be his job. Unfortunately we didn't get the young lady that we initially spoke with at the cruise next desk to help us and unfortunately we never saw her again.

Cabin Review

The Haven Spa Suite with Balcony

Cabin H9

Six of the Seven nights were awesome. Only one day when cleaning they left dirty glasses in the room. I assumed since they had a little beverage left in the glass the cabin steward or butler thought maybe we wanted to keep them???
