Traveled with children

We were invited to join a large family group on this cruise. We took our grandchildren (3 & 1) to the Dr Seuss breakfast which was wonderful. The kids enjoyed it, lots of photo opportunities and fun food. The staff was very helpful working with food allergies the children have. The Seuss-a-paloza story reading was a blast, both children enjoyed it with the 3 year old up on stage with daddy for actual story time. My one disappointment was that the Towel Theater performance was scheduled to overlap with the second setting of the Dr Seuss Breakfast. With three sea days on our schedule it would have been better planning to host the Towel Theater performance on Sea Day 1 so there was an event for young children each of the sea days rather than over lap and have guests miss out on a chance to attend both events.

We ate all our evening meals in the dining room. Some dishes were excellent, some over cooked and dry. I will say that the tenderloin steak diner and the breakfast steak and eggs served on Sea Day at the brunch were wonderfully prepared!

Prior to leaving on this trip my daughter had multiple frustrating conversations with Carnival Cruise Lines over the phone about providing food for her child with dairy allergies. She was given different answers each time she called with questions. Once we were actually on the ship all her worry was relieved as our dining room staff took care to provide her and her baby with appropriate meals. Kudos to Ship Dining Staff, Carnival Cruise staff that answer phone call questions-get your act together and provide accurate information to guests BEFORE they board the ship.

Cabin Review

Aft-View Extended Balcony

Cabin 8M

Our cabin and back deck were wonderful. We had one of the middle rooms which was quite spacious and our deck was much larger than the side room balconies. Hubby and I had the room but our grandchildren spent quite a bit of time in the room with us and our 2 year old "slept over" with us 3 of the 6 nights. The only down side to this room is that it is right above the 5th floor lounge and I swear my bed was right over the stage speakers. Loud music and bass felt until early in the AM. Our steward was quite nice and left darling towel animals for the grandbabies to find each day.
