I chose Celebrity because it had been recommended to me by several people as having great service and food. The food was great. The service was not. I spent 1 1/2 days at the pool and the pool-side service was almost non-existent. Therefore, we had to go to the bar to get drinks, and the bar was very crowded and it took a long time to get a drink. Actually, this was our experience at all of the bars except the martini bar, where the service was excellent. We ordered room service twice and it never came, so we never tried again. We went to Guest Relations to express our concerns, and were told by “Steve” that he would send chocolate covered strawberries and champagne to our cabin. Not really that big of a deal since we had the premium drink package, but a nice gesture. It never came. We went back to Guest Relations again and were given a free speciality dinner for one night. We went to QSine which was fabulous and the service was impeccable. The only problem was they had no record of the comp. So, back to Guest Relations to wait in line as it is the last night of the cruise, and after a significant amount of time, they honored the comp. All of this was quite disappointing as we only booked Celebrity based on recommendations on service and food. The highlight was that our cabin steward was wonderful and we really appreciated his attention.
