We chose this cruise because we wanted to see Alaska and Glacier Bay. We booked late and didn't have all the cruise lines available. Norwegian and Holland America were available, I heard HA was mostly older clientele.

I don't have much cruising background, just one short cruise prior, so I'm not the best at comparing. But I am very opinionated. The cabin was excellent, spacious enough, modern, comfy, great view on the balcony. The workers and staff were friendly and worked very hard. Kudos to all the staff. Especially loved the guy who said "Washy Washy Happy Happy" as he squirted your hands with antibacterial in front of the buffet. I heard people all over the ship quoting that line, it's magic.

Another positive was the diversity on board- different ages, different ethnicities, types of groups ranging from larger families to friends or couples. I would prefer not to be the only 30 somethings, and we weren't.

Cabin B2

Cabin was a nice surprise. Exceeded our expectations in terms of modernity and comfort.

Port Reviews

Victoria

The amount of time here (only 6PM to midnight) is the reason this is poorly rated. Not the best time to tour Victoria.

Ketchikan

I would change this port if at all possible. Rainiest town in America, sad industrial, ugly, ratty streets and shops, just all around depressing after the adorable Skagway and beautiful Glacier Bay. Sorry to say this town is not worth visiting.
