We did this cruise primarily for the destinations -- Copenhagen, Tallinn, Stockholm, St Petersberg, Helsinki. The ports were nice and we had pretty good weather.
My wife and I traveled with 4 kids ages 11, 9, 6, and 3. The kids enjoyed the adventure ocean for the most part.
We have been on 10+ cruises with RCI - and the Serenade of the Seas is a very average ship. It's a bit older, and it shows. The fixtures in our room and around the ship are showing a lot of wear. The food was very average -- I was personally disappointed with the main dining room menu and food. I try to avoid the windjammer wherever possible -- the windjammer food is always really bad.
Cabin had good space. The kids liked the 3 bunk beds. The fixtures on the room were very worn down (with the age of the ship) but our stateroom attendant was very good. Our balcony was really nice. Downside -- the internet was very spotty and slow in our stateroom.
Super fast 5 minute debarkation. It was rainy, but still nice to tour the city. There is a HOHO bus right next to the ship so that was really nice.
we enjoyed walking through the cobbled streets. The Super fast 5 minute debarkation.
Super fast 5 minute debarkation. HOHO boat 50 meters from the ship. We went on the HOHO boat and took the kids to Skansen - the open air museum and they had a really good time. Lots of walking but fun. Super fast 5 minute debarkation.
Just walking around the streets -- we went to the Little Mermaid first and it was empty -- later in the day it is mobbed by hundreds of people.
