We chose this particular cruise primarily and specifically because it coincided with our 50th wedding anniversary. The embarkation process at Southampton was first class, so simple and easy. Bags collected from the car park and reappeared at our cabin door before we set sail. The Aquaclass cabin (1584) on deck 11 was good and very comfortable .... but not great. Well used and a little tired may be an apt description. bathroom, toilet facilities and shower were very good and always kept clean and tidy. We are used to better hotel accomodation when doing city breaks. We dined in Blu and we were very impressed with the quality and variety of the menu, the service was faultless, the staff friendly and helpful. Twelve out of ten from us. We tried Murano one evening (on our anniversary) .... also excellent but didn't justify the additional $35 per person. The sommeliers in Blu deserve a special mention ..... great. We enjoyed all the shows we saw, the theatre itself is equal to anything the West End has to offer, and the variety of entertainment on offer was excellent. I am aware that the shows didn't appeal to everyone's taste but you cannot help but be impressed with the effort that celebrity put in to make these shows happen. Artists are flown in and meet the ship at different ports, the Cossack troup that came on board on the St Petersburg stopover were fantastic ...... well done to Sue and the entertainment team. Keep it up. We loved also the public areas, always somewhere quiet to sit and listen to some of the bar entertainers. The Sky Lounge was our favourite area to just sit and relax with a book and a glass of wine. The pool area and solarium were sometimes overly busy but it was to be expected. Didn't much appreciate those that reserved sunbeds early ..... but that's people for you. We've booked again for 2018. Constellation and a cruise from Venice and along the Adriatic. Aquaclass again because we enjoyed the experience so much and we get to eat in Blu. Not hooked on cruise holidays yet (as many obviously are) and will still do city breaks, extended holidays in our motorhome etc ..... but for sheer convenience, being waited on hand, foot and finger and value for money, cruising (with Celebrity) has got to be right up with anything else we've ever done.

First cruise for us and definitely not disappointed. Wonderful experience.
