Wanted to visit new destinations and experience the Rivers of Europe. Arrived in Amsterdam 2 days prior to cruise, met up with family, explored the city and galleries at a leisurely pace and enjoyed the sights.
The embarkation process was smooth, luggage got damp in the rain but clothing soon dried by staff on board. Disembarkation was well organised.
The ship is easy to get around, the De Luxe Cabin was great, bedding and service was exemplary.

Clean, tidy, all items consumed replenished daily without being requested. Couldn't fault it.

We opted to take the Romantic Road tour, had a wonderful, witty and informative guide who had us enthralled.
Bamberg
The guided city tour was excellent and the town picture perfect. Good opportunity to have some time to stroll and shop and enjoy the delicious food from local cafes.
Nuremberg
The Tastes of Nuremberg was an enjoyable tour with tastings of local fare.
Regensburg
Fantastic choice of a boat ride on the Danube River (unique scenery) to the small Weltenburg Abbey - the most beautiful interior I have ever seen - jewel-like.
