Chose this cruise for the destinations. However, we booked our cruise through the Viking Air Division. At first we were booked on Scandinavian Air but we were switched to British Airways. Unfortunately this was the weekend of British Airways IT disaster. Viking got us to London all right, but we were told in Newark that our connecting flight from London to Bergen, Norway would wait for us. Six of us were traveling and thus we got stuck in London with no commercial flights for 2 days or more. We met two more people who were supposed to get on the same connecting flight so now 8 people are stranded. Called Viking from London and were told it was too early to talk to them ( it being nighttime in the States). We were thus forced to hire a charter jet to get us to Bergen, thanks to the advice from Viking. Otherwise the ship would have sailed without us. This was extremely expensive. Viking reps on the ship told us customer service would take care of us! Although we did get our money from BA for the connecting flight, we expected Viking to do something for us along the lines of a cruise credit. We did not expect to be fully reimbursed but instead Viking blew us off! We will never sail with them again!

Cabin is small like on all cruise ships. Like the heated floor in the bathroom which was also small. Food in the main dining room was good, not fabulous. Specialty restaurants were very good. Optional port excursions were well done I thought. But expensive. Entertainment very good, mostly various singers. Cruise staff very accommodating and room spotlessly kept and serviced several times a day.

Cabin Review

Cabin Veranda B

Too close to public areas and thus noisy at night.

Gorgeous Port. Did the Flam railway and the views were incredible

Aalborg

Beautiful old town walking tour.
