This was our tenth cruise (second with celebrity). 3 days in stunning Vancouver prior to alaskan cruise. Embarkation very good. Ship was very well maintained and very clean. Food in main restaurant was excellent, waiter & assistant waitress at our table were very helpful and attentive. Didn't see the head waiter. Food in buffet was also very good. Cabin was spacious with plenty of hanging room and drawers for clothes, balcony was standard. Stateroom attendant friemdly & helpful. There were good seminars onboard. The shows were good and entertainment staff worked hard. The different drinks packages were a little confusing but bar staff were on hand to explain what you were entitled to for the different packages. Gym was good, The women working in the spa & masseurs were friendly and professional. The bar staff in the martini bar were overwhelmed, and people sitting at bar would get served before you unless you were vocal. We asked for a late disembarkation at guest services, with was guaranteed immediately (which meant not having to get up early the last day). The waiter & assistant waitress at trellis (main restaurant) deserve special praise, but cannot remember their names. We were in room 7133 and done the Alaskan Cruise from 02 July 2017,

Great ship

Port & Shore Excursion Reviews

  • Dog Sledding
    Dog sledding on mendenhill glacier.
Expensive, but worth every penny, you start with a helicopter ride over the mountains, with amazing views then land on the glacier where the staff tell you about the dogs and how to mush. After this you can either mush yourself or just relax as the dogs glide over the glacier. After the sledding you get to hold some puppies before you get back on your helicopter for the trip back to your pick up on a bus back to Juneau.
This is an amazing excursion, and something you will never forget

  • Lumberjack Show
Great fun, as lumberjacks put on a great show, get the audience involved and show off their skills. highly recommended

  • Saxman Native Village
Saxman Village was interesting, but our excursion, which included lumberack show & city tour seemed rushed, even though guide was helpful, informative and knowledgeable

  • Wildlife Tour
Went to Raptor Centre and bear sanctuary , this was an excellent tour where you get to see bald eagles, owls and other birds of prey at a rescue centre, very informative and the birds are truly majestic. After that you drive to the bear sanctuary, which is small but very good as you see the bears and realise the hard work the staff do to try to keep the bears

  • Stanley Park
Stanley Park is the lungs of Vancouver, where you will find a refuge from the city, an aquarium and beautiful walks. This is definitely worth visiting
