This was our first cruise having a balcony. It is a must for Alaskan cruising. The views are breathtaking.
The rest of the cabin was dated (as most cruise ships are) but had more than enough room for 2 travelers. Room amenities included hair dryer, toiletries, bath robes, stationary, safe, mini fridge, 2 umbrellas, and small binoculars.
Martini Bar was very fun. The bartenders are performers in their own right. Johannes was great and the iced bar tops are very cool.
Balcony view was blocked by the bigger balcony to the left and a movable ladder to the right. That being said, there was plenty of room and it was amazing to sit in the comfort of our balcony and view Hubbard Glacier while sipping champagne.
No scheduled excursion. Very easy to take the free shuttle downtown and walk to the Tongass hiking trails and Tlinkit totem poles. Also walked to Baranof Brewing Co. for some great beers. This was a longer walk since the bridge on the hiking trails was under construction.
