This was our 1st cruise. So we didn't know what to expect, outside of friends and family who have cruised before telling us...they guarantee it won't be our last cruise. They were so right. The staff was great. Super friendly, addressing me and my wife by our names consistently, and always smiling. Our room was a little warm for my liking, but our room steward got us a fan for the room quickly after I asked her for one. And it helped a lot. We tried almost all of the dining options. Guy's Burgers was very good. The Lido Deck Buffets were good (not great, but not bad either). Scarlett's Steakhouse was very good too. The Chef's Table was AMAZING. From the experience, to the food...we loved every bit of it. I spent a lot of time in the casino too. The smoke from the smokers was a turn off. But overall, that was minor. The comedy club acts on board were HILARIOUS in their adult shows. I didn't see any of their pg rated shows. The Love and Marriage show was funny as well. The ship was clean, so no complaints there. My biggest complaint from this cruise was the CRAZY prices of their photos. Carnival is missing out on a lot by not offering picture packages. Paying for each pic individually adds up super quick. My direct review to Carnival talked about that in depth. But...that being said, we have already booked our next cruise. The Valor was a GREAT time away from home with my wife. I highly recommend it.
Oh, and Frankie was an awesome cruise director. "Boop"
Our room was cleaned daily and we were surprised to see a new towel "animal" making himself at home on our bed each day. Our room steward was OUTSTANDING. She took care of all our needs and requests for things, like a fan. It's not a big room by any means. But that was fine since we didn't plan on spending a lot of time in there except to sleep at night or take a nap during the day. It was spacious enough for us, and I'm 6'1/280lbs. Not a small man by any means. The balcony was relaxing as well.
We had purchased Faster 2 the Fun. So boarding was quick and painless. The lady who helped us at teh counter was super nice.
