Valor out of Galveston May 11 – May 15, 2017

We flew into Houston Hobby the day of the cruise. That was new to me as I generally fly in a day or two early, but schedules did not allow it this time. There were seven in our group. My friend and I had both cruised before but none of her family had yet been on a ship.

We used Houston Custom Transport to get from Hobby to the Port. The reason we chose this company is because when we sailed out of Galveston on the Breeze in November 2016, we called for a cab (you cannot reserve one in advance, you have to call for one that day at the time you need it) and 45 minutes later he still was not there. Some other people at our hotel on Seawall Blvd, used Houston Custom Transport and LUCKILY he had room for two of us and we were on our way. We had previously used Galveston Limo & Transportation but were not sure we would ever make it to our destination due to the flightiness of the driver on the way to the hotel and then the shape of the bus on the way back to Houston Hobby (lots of clanking and bad noises that could not be good). Therefore, we have used Houston Custom Transport as he is reliable and very reasonably priced and a super great guy! Some of the people in our group needed to stop and get soda before we got to the airport. I used to live in the Great State of Texas, and asked if there was a Buc-ees on the way. Best Stop ever!!!! If you have never stopped at a Buc-ees, you do not know what you are missing. Convenience store and souvenir shop and more all rolled into one.
