For some reason, after 15 cruises on Celebrity, including Infinity, there was something missing on this cruise. The vib didn't feel right to us. The Dining Room staff were really terrific as was our room attendant. The production numbers seemed like the performers were 2nd choice people. The productions themselves seemed like leftovers. As if Celebrity was saving money at the expense of the productions. In the past the production numbers were really outstanding and really classy!
In Miami, It took more than 2 hours to go through the process of checking in at embarkation. That is really unacceptable! I think that they should try the same system that Royal Caribbean used. Use Captains Club level to check-in. It went really fast. The last time we were on Royal, we were checked in in about 20-30 minutes.
Disembarkation in San Diego, seemed like a different story. Every thing was well organized and even though we were out of our rooms by 8:00am, we had plentiful areas to wait, and once the ship was cleared they streamed people ashore in small enough batches that there was no big problem on the dock. There were also manyl porters available to help with luggage.
The cabin was supposed to be 2A. It seemed smaller than the last time we had a 2B. I couldn't roll a 22" piece of luggage past the bed. I had to turn it sideways.
The attendant did an excellent job of keeping it clean & up to date on extra tissues, since I came down with a cold after Cartegena due to the high humidity & heat and then the cool inside of the ship.
There were 6 of us in a van. Guide spoke good English. He made the very interesting in sightseeing . The El Cid restuarant on the mountain was beautiful.
