Trip through the Panama Canal to cross off bucket list item. Embarkation ran a little long but we had received an email from Celebrity warning of this due to just coming from South America so it was not unexpected. Upon boarding they were handing out free glasses of champagne to help smooth over the long boarding process and the fact that the rooms weren't quite ready yet. The instructions for the in room safe, cabin 2047, says to use a 6 digit code but it wouldn't accept a 6 digit code only a 4 digit. My mom's cabin next door took a 6 digit code. According to the stateroom attendant some safes take 4 digit and others 6. It would be nice if they were consistent. Our stateroom bathroom had a couple of cracked tiles and the mirror has a couple of places on the edge where the mirrored coating was coming off but overall the room was good. The real issue was the ice/water machines in the Oceanview cafeteria seemed to have issues. Some would have ice and no water while others would have water and no ice. Even first thing in the morning at breakfast. Not a terrible thing just a little annoying. There was a lot of fish served in the MDR and the dessert choices were a little lacking, usually 2 new items in addition to the normal every night choices such as apple pie, ice cream etc. The service from both cabin attendant and wait staff in the MDR were excellent. The entertainment in the evening was very good. There was one or two nights that the entertainment wasn't my cup of tea but it still was very good. There was a wide variety of activities going on almost constantly throughout the day if you were interested. We had 6 stops along the way, Columbia, Panama, Costa Rica, Guatemala, PV Mexico and Cabo San Lucas Mexico. I only wish our time at both Mexico stops was longer.
