Sailed with kids and grand parents. Had done it first year out came out and loved it. This time , we were all very disappointed . We have sailed NCl about 3 times per year in the last 3 years. Escape 3 times, Breakaway 3 times , Epic this time and had book also the Morrocco and canary isle for April 2017. Price were right, and we always had terrific service.
We were used to Disney, RCCL, Celebrity and comparing value and price, we definitely were not going wrong with NCL. This time, the epic february 2017 was a total dissapointement. Food in restaurant were not very good, nor hot. Barely warm. Took about 2 hours to get appetizer and main entree. We never took desert and left after main entree.
Not sure if it is the case, but to seemed that the beverage package was going strong on that cruise as 80% of the guest seemed drunk no matter the time of day. We saw 4 " ladies"in their 50's at Spice remove their bathing suit and going cannonball in the pool. It took about 30 minutes for security to come. Dont mind me, it was funny and i am no prude but, not what i was expecting on a NCL cruise. Buffet seemed to be almost the same thing every night. Seafood night was a few mussels and shrimp .. basic seafood. No more special dinner at O'Sheahan like they used to with their prime rib night , etc . Had to return my fish and chip twice because it was not cooked ... They felt bad, they apologized, but still, not something i would have expect.
small, basic, easy to reach kids club and buffet area.
