We have a family of four who enjoyed our boardwalk balcony. Space was tight with less storage than on other cruises but we made do. The kids said the sofa bed was more comfortable than other lines. My 12/14 year olds utilized the teen area. My youngest loved it, but my older teen did not care for many of the activities. The shows around the ship were amazing, better than any other line. Be warned, the theatre is very cold! The various activities around the ship satisfied everyone in my family. The cupcake and sushi classes were hits as well. The biggest disappointment for us was the MDR. We had my time and were able to change waitstaff but we only found one team we really enjoyed. Most nights dinner took almost two hours. Our medium steaks came well done, the rolls were impossible to eat due to hardness. While waiting 45 minutes for apps we were offered bread while we watched tables who came after us being served. We eventually gave up and started grabbing meals at other venues around the ship.
We enjoyed the sea days, the music around the pools was relaxing, not a party vibe. The amount of pools and seats was amazing. We always found a seat. There were 6400 people onboard, we also never waited long for elevators. The Allure moved people around like pros. Embarking and Disembark were easy and smooth.
We loved our time on Allure, will probably go on a sister ship but next cruise will be back on the party ship for the food.
Worked for family of four. Small closet space, plan ahead. Beds comfortable, room cold when we wanted it to be. Excellent view of the Aqua theatre, we watch several shows from the balcony. Kids said the sofa bed was really comfortable. The shower was nice as well.
