I chose this cruise because I needed a break but can't ben 100% disconnected. Due to Voom, their high speed internet service, I was able to cruise. I haven't cruised in quite some time, maybe 6 years, ever since I started my own IT company. With Voom, you can truly surf the web and stream Netflix. That should be enough for IT pros to be able to do most remote work. I didn't do any SSH which is very advanced but I am pretty sure you an VPN. I just did remote access and lots of e-mail. Also, if your Smart Phone and carrier supports WiFi Calling, you can use that too. My iPhone on AT&T was like I wasn't away from home at all. People could call me as if I was at home. You just need to remember to turn on Airplane mode and then turn on WiFi. Make sure the "WiFi Calling" feature is turned on before you leave. So, with that, you're talking about FREE calling to back home, minus the cost of VOOM!!

Enough of the Techno talk. Cruising is so much fun. Missed the smell of the sea! Although I do live my the ocean in Los Angeles. Yep, we flew from LA the night before. Staying at the Hytall Pier 66. It was OK at first because we landed after dark. We got some dinner at the hotel dining area which was OK. A Bit Greasy but their crab dip was incredible. Just way too greasy for only two people. We fell asleep and then woke up and realized how beautiful the grounds are. So many ships docked. Definitely go for a walk before you have to transfer.

We had all of our arrangements done though our travel agent and RCCL.

Cabin Review

Junior Suite with Balcony

Cabin JS

Great Cabin for 2 people. I normally get a Standard Oceanview Balcony but this was a little bigger. Made for a cozier atmosphere. Easier to pack and unpack. You can dine at Coastal Kitchen and get faster Embarkation/Debarkation for this suite class. But you don't get access to some of the Suite Areas or priority seating for shows. I think you can use the check in in the Main Dining Room for Suite Guests.

Wife loved the Larger Walk in Closet. Bathroom has a bathtub for more spacious showers. I only showered. Did not use the baths.

Lots of smart areas to store stuff. Balcony was very large.
