We chose Scenic after extensive research and were not disappointed at all. We arrived in Budapest a day earlier than boarding so we could join a local walking tour which was wonderful. Then we met the Scenic group at the Marriott Hotel and we're escorted by bus to our ship. Luggage was taken separately and was waiting in our stateroom on our arrival. Our room was compact but due to clever designing, it had everything we needed without feeling cramped. Once unpacked our suitcases fitted easily under the bed. Wardrobes had plenty of hangers and shelf space. The balcony with electric window was fabulous. The dining room was well set up with tables of various sizes to accommodate small or larger groups. Food was delicious and plentiful with a variety of choice. Entertainment in the upstairs lounge wasn't outstanding, but quite pleasant. Local entertainers visited onboard at times and provided some enjoyment. The tours were well conducted with very knowledgable guides, excellent bus drivers and the latest luxury coaches. The villages were beautiful, so much history to learn. We kept busy and fit with all the walking, often in hilly villages on irregular cobblestone roadways. The itinerary was busy, we were kept on the go without much time to lounge around. However you don't have to go in so many tours if you wish. We wanted to see as much as possible so kept up with the pace. The staff are wonderfully helpful at all times. Disembarkation was a very precicely executed event which involved colour coded tags on luggage and each passenger was given a time to be called to leave. Well done Scenic. Our next adventure is on Scenic Azure in April 2017. Can't wait.
