We were in a Deluxe Stateroom. I think there are only 4 of them. The one with a Butler. The stateroom was one of the best layouts we have experienced. However the food aboard this ship is not cruise ship fine dining. The Main dining room L'etoile is open seating, crowded, noisy & hot. The La Veranda is their fine dining. Just passes because its just the breakfast room with table cloths!

The Breakfast is the worst we have experienced for hot food. Its luke warm, pallid & poor choice. We had our Butler bring breakfast thinking it would be better - no its cold too. Our Stateroom had a complete power failure at 10pm one night. In complete darkness for 2 hours when they gave us lights but no TV, Fridge or Sound system. The wiring I saw was appalling but they fixed it the next day & gave us a shipboard credit, Vey nice. We had heard so much about how luxurious this ship was is was such a disappointment to find it old & tired. Built in 1997 but have no idea if they have upgraded it. If they have it didn't work.

French Polynesia is a 'difficult' destination unless water sports, beach & swimming is your thing so shore excursions are expensive but for snorkeling & all things water its perfect.

Cabin Review

Cabin A Pont Avant Veranda Suite

Best layout of suite you will find. Lots of storage of the right sort. Lounge area perfect for entertaining, well stocked drinks of your choice & fresh fruit daily again of your choice. Butler attends using special number & does everything. Makes reservations, tours food, drinks whatever you want. Excellent service.
