We chose this cruise because Carnival doesn't sail out of New York very often and it was a new ship. We have priority check-in. we went with a couple that had been on only two cruises and had regular check-in. They were thru the line, in their cabin and up to Marketplace before we even got thru the line an hour later. My wife doesn't drink but maybe a glass or two of wine a nigh but because of Carnival's stupid policy that all adults in a cabin must purchase a package we were forced to buy two. By the third night of the cruise they ran out of Crown royal, Reisling, chocolate liquor for the chocolate martinis and chocolate syrup for the same. I was forced to drink less than my favorite. Bar servers were another big issue. None could be found. If you wanted a drink at dinner you had to take one in with you or leave the table and get it yourself. Other venues had the same problem- the pool, theater and comedy club. I paid gratuities for all the bar servers with my package and on board gratuities and got nothing for it.

We were seated at a table for 12. the one night they tried to get 2 more people at our table. We had at least 6 different servers through the cruise. We ordered steak medium rare one night. We sent it back three times before they cooked it right and the fourth time it came out it was cold. Some nights my wife didn't order an appetizer. on those nights she was served her entrée while the rest of us had our appetizers. I complained to the matre'd and guest services and was promised an answer to what went wrong and how it would be corrected and addressed. Still waiting three months later. I also sent a letter to their headquarters in Florida asking what they were going to do about it. Still waiting for their answer.

We have been on 30 cruises and not one other one has not changed the clocks to local time. We missed two tours because they didn't change the clock and when guest services was questioned about they basically said too bad too sad bot our problem. This is also the first cruise we paid taxes on when we bought drinks in St. Thomas and San Juan on the ship with a beverage package. The one comedian (Washington?) was not funny and repeated the same joke over and over. He was also taking drinks from people and drinking while doing his show. People were showing up for breakfast in the Marketplace in PJ's, slippers and bath robes. This should be stopped.
