AWFUL: PADI service. We understand the policy of not serving kids under 12 years old. What it is unacceptable is that the guy from South Africa in charge does not help in contacting other PADI centers to facilitate diving to families with children under 12. “Go online and search” is a rude answer and definitely not a Royal Caribbean style answer. We lost the opportunity of diving in 3 islands.
ROOM TO IMPROVE:
1. Mattresses: Please include foam pads for back pain sufferers. Mattresses are too hard.
Ramon was an amazing attendant. He figured it out to solve the problem of the very bad quality mattresses in the ship and make my trip more pleasant. The quality of the mattresses and pillows has declined and can be improved.
We tried to set up an excursion with PADI since we got in the ship early in the morning. First, everything was booked and then, we were told that Royal does not work with children under 12 even if they are certified. When we asked for help, the guy just answered "go online and search". Since internet is quite slow and bad at the ship plus we had to start from google, it took us a long time and could do nothing.
I would have expected help in contacting PADI centers that could accommodate children under 12, not that rude answer.
We could do nothing because the PADI center at the ship did not help at all.
