We chose this cruise because of the port and itinerary and price for a family of four. The Glory is an older ship that has had some upgrades such as Guy's Burger Joint, Blue Iguana Cantina, Red Frog Rum Bar and Blue Iguana Tequila Bar. The inside of the ship was nice and well maintained. We enjoyed the dining rooms. All of the hot tubs are showing their age. We had two teenagers with us who seemed to enjoy themselves and were always having fun. We enjoyed the Dive-In Movies on the Lido...there was a good variety throughout the week. I wish there would have been more traditional Holiday movies on the Lido or on our TVs in our cabin since it was the week before Christmas. The shows in the theatre were very entertaining and the Epic Rock show was the best I have seen yet! The service and crew were great and our Cruise Director, Eric B., was fantastic! We had an interior room with a King bed and Two Upper Pullmans on the Main Deck, toward the Aft. It was excellent access to the elevators in the back of the ship that take you up directly to the comedy club and piano bar and dance club on deck 5. Then up to the Lido buffet and Adults only pool on Deck 9 Aft. The Pizza and a bar and ice cream machine were right there, also.

Cabin 4B

The cabin was clean and we had plenty of space to store our clothes and luggage. Moving around space was tight, but since the time we spend in our cabin is when we are getting cleaned up or sleeping overnight, it worked well for us. We had two adults and two teenagers. The teenagers slept on the upper pullmans which were set up for them during nightly turn down service. The location was excellent for access via elevators to the public areas of the ship on decks 3, 5, 8+. We never had to wait long for an elevator on the ship anywhere. The Sea Day Brunch was just one flight of stairs above us. The only noise we experienced was an occasional kid in the hallway (not often at all), and the only time the ship noise scared me was when we got back in port in Miami and we were turning around in the bay. Our cabin shook for about 5 minutes as we turned around.

Port Reviews

Miami

This was our third cruise out of the Port of Miami. We enjoy that Port very much. They are well organized. We checked in for our cruise at the airport which was the best decision! We got our sail and sign cards there and when we arrived at the port...no long lines. We essentially walked right onto the ship.
