Sail Date: Dec 2016

We chose this cruise because it was my mothers 60th birthday. We have only sailed once previously on the Sensation in 2006. I was considerably younger, and do not remember a lot of comparisons from that cruise. That being said, embarkation went okay. We set our time for 2:30 to board, and arrived at 10 am. We we kind of shocked that there was nothing to do at the terminal besides sit in the rain. Nevertheless, we got to the lines at around 12:30, and waited to board.

Our cabin was awesome, it was 8368 with a balcony. I would recommend a balcony, but it is not necessary to the trip. Our steward, Fandy was THE BEST. So nice, engaging and concerned about us. It was a joy seeing him each day.

The ship itself is an older ship, but I didn't notice until we were docked next to other ships. My family played in the casino a lot, and our only complaint is the other cruisers who would save machines for other players, or be on the same machine for literally 6-8 hours. We fared well at the casino, and went one or twice a day at least. My father received free drinks the first day so that was a great amenity for him.

Balcony

Cabin 8E

No problems with cabin, no smells or stains. Only downside was that we could hear the night club, at certain times.

Port Reviews

Grand Turk

Beach day was great. Did not appreciate locals trying to up-sell chairs on the beach that were free.

Miami

Would have preferred an indoor area for embarkation while waiting to go through customs.

San Juan

We explored the city and I would not have had ii any other way. To feel like a local and tour around the city was great.
