This was our first cruise on a :giganto-sized" ship. After 2 days, wife & I thought it would be our last......just too many people for our taste. One needs to make a reservation for nearly everything, and make them early. At the pool, the water slides are fun and I presume the ropes course is as well. I got on the slides during down times, but often the lines are too long. Never made it to the ropes course because each time I tried there was a minimum 45 minute wait. But as the cruise went on we "discovered" things we enjoyed. We don't cruise to eat, but nevertheless we thought the food was better than other ships - we are loyal NCL cruisers. Entertainment was also better, and of course on a ship this size there are more entertainment choices. We went to the Comedy Club twice, and dueling Pianos twice. The Theater shows - Cotton Club and For the Record were likewise great. A major downside, for us, was the strong smell of cigarette smoke coming from the casino. The casino is mid-ship, on deck 7. But the smell was strong and unmistakeable even on Decks 8 and 6; walking from dinner to one of the entertainment functions .meant inhaling that second hand smoke. All in all, we are still not sure if the negatives outweigh the positives. We had an inside cabin. I was fine with it but wife thought it was too small. I used the Fitness Center twice; other attempts failed due to it being too crowded.
