My overall vacation experience was terrible. I was not able to enjoy my vacation week at the Escape because it was extremely crowded (5,100+ souls). We travel in a group of 4 couples and NEVER were able to get not even one chair in the pool. The pool area it is extremely small for such a huge ship. We had to go hang out at the H2O area and still had a hard time fishing for chairs and shade. There are not so many umbrellas in that area. People leave their belongings holding the chairs and leave and nobody else is able to use them. We reported the issue and they told us that there was people monitoring it but there were not.

In my opinion there are not enough trash cans in the big common areas, so people leave garbage everywhere, it is discounting! Since there were so many guests the ratio of crew members by guest was not enough. Crew members were constantly overwhelmed by people complaining about several issues.

We had to waste time waiting on the elevators, waiting in line to go into the restaurants and the lines for the entertainments were so long that we did not get to enjoy them at all… trying to book a show or an excursion was a mission. The whole experienced was not pleasant at all, you could feel the discomfort of many people on the ship. Honestly I was frustrated most of the time. To order a drink in any bar you had to wait in line; the breakfast room was always packed and there was people eating standing. I have travel on other ships and cruise lines (Celebrity, Oceania, Royal Caribbean, and Princess) and unfortunately I can say this has been the worst experience ever. I’m really disappointed about the level of service of some crew members, that need to be train better on hospitality, they don’t seem to have any patient what so ever, they need to realize that we the guest are on vacation, but in a way I understand that they were overwhelmed therefore, the guests and the crew members were victims of an overbooked ship.

Cabin Review

Balcony Stateroom

The cabin was really nice and clean, and having a balcony is a PLUS!
