Traveled with children

This was our second cruise with NCL and our 6th overall. We are very happy with NCL for one primary reason - their flexibility and ability to accommodate our needs as we have a child with life-threatening food allergies. We worked with them months in advance to ensure our child had what she needed for her dietary intake. The allergy-friendly food they typically stock were not suitable in our situation and they went out of their way to purchase food specifically for her for a week long cruise using vendors and products they normally do not use. No other cruise line has gone to that extent for us and it makes a huge difference when on vacation and allows us to have a relaxing time and not have to worry about food. The Asst. Maitre'd (Diana) coordinated with us daily to plan out our child's meals and made herself available to us whenever we needed. This is the primary reason why we will always come back to NCL.

Regarding the ship itself, we were very pleased. The crew did a good job of engaging the passengers by holding daily activities and nearly everyone had a pleasant attitude. The ship has nice pools, rock climbing, basketball courts, and a very popular ropes course (plan to get there early if you want to do this). The rooms were comfortable and the showers were larger than normal, which was a nice plus. If I had to note anything which could benefit from improvement it would be the menu. It lacks options for healthy eaters and vegetarians but on the plus side the staff did make attempts to bring us meals which we would enjoy which were based off of the normal menu. Our waiter usually brought out the main meals before the appetizers and salad but that really didn't bother us since we had a lot of needs when it came to food. I visited the fitness center daily; it had sufficient cardio equipment but lacked variety and extensiveness of both free weights and universal machines. It's enough to provide a light workout during vacation for those avid gym goers like me.

We would definitely cruise with NCL again and go on this ship.
