We have cruised 5 times now and are trying to narrow down what cruise line and style we like best. Celebrity Summit definitely is NOT one we would choose again. We chose this based on recommendations from our travel agent that we would enjoy the smaller ship size and atmosphere as it is a "step up from Royal Caribbean." Though we did enjoy the smaller size (the ship was easy to remember and navigate), the overall atmosphere was disappointing to say the least.

Let's start with the pros:

Embarking/disembarking was very easy-- a definite plus!

Cabin Review

Concierge Class 1

Cabin C1

I actually don't remember what concierge class this room falls under, but it was good! Plenty of storage space and the balcony was great! Lots of space on the balcony with a little cafe table and 2 chairs-- VERY nice to eat breakfast on in the mornings.

The bed was pretty good for a cruise ship and the room service was amazing!

bathroom is really spacious for a cruise ship-- and the shower is an actual shower with a shower curtain-- not a shower capsule like other cruises might have. The massaging shower head never worked, so I can't speak to that. oh-- the robes are a nice touch!

Port Reviews

San Juan

Be sure to make a day of Old San Juan! It is GORGEOUS! It's amazing to walk in 500 year old forts and down old cobblestone streets! Be sure to shop the little shops and take time to talk to the owners. Everyone we met was incredibly friendly and eager to tell us about Puerto Rico and what they love about their amazing island whether it be the spices, the artistry, the music, the food--- they are proud to share their culture with you! We stayed at La Concha Resort after the cruise and WOW -- amazing accommodations and right on the beach! Oh-- don't forget to use Uber! it's MUCH cheaper than the taxi's!

St. Thomas

Magan's Bay is everything you imagine a Caribbean beach to be-- white sandy beaches, tiny fish following you around and popping up to say hello, drinks readily available, chairs and shade available.... It was perfection! I think we had to pay $5 to get in.

St. Kitts (Port Zante)

Perfection! We went to Cockleshell Beach and found paradise! We were met by Shane at the entrance and he took care of our every need! No one pressured us to buy anything, but everything you could imagine was available when we were ready-- snorkeling, massages, jet skis, drinks, conch fritters (WOW!) It was amazing and we can't wait to go back!

Martinique

We only got off the ship for about an hour. It was raining that day and we just walked on this little black sand beach by the port and collected sea glass.
