We wanted to be entertained and enjoy a relaxing week. As we didn't want to drink too much a drinks package would not be appropriate. But $8 for a small beer is just extortion! $40 for the cheapest wine which costs $10 bottle was out of this world. Transport from the airport to the ship was fine, although Venice airport was still undergoing alterations so the return trip was more awkward to get to Check in! Embarkation & disembarkation was smooth, the junior suite was great- comfy bed, settee & 2 armchairs, lots of storage, good bathroom & balcony with table & 2 chairs. Service all round was excellant & we found the food extremely good, with attentive waiters, in the dinin g room. The entertainment was extremely poor. The activities such as Table Tennis were carried out in a half hearted manner.Lovely theatre but resident acts were very disappointing although guest acts were, on the whole, very good.We did not go on any RC excursions, but looking around local ports of call was easy.
