We were driven to port by our daughter at about 1:00 p.m. Did not see our luggage until 5 hours later. Got to stand outside during muster drill in topsiders and cold weather, while some woman was coughing on me. Meanwhile is lecturing about our needing to turn in our Samsung Galaxy Note 7. Like we didn't hear on the Plane or it hadn't been on the news. You know the Capitan wasn't in the cold nor standing. My wife's luggage came a hour later but mine came 2 hours later. The cabin steward claimed it was behind a watertight door, since this was the last cruise for their season you would think that they would have it figured it out. The cabin was adequate, but it makes glad that I only live like that for 7 nights.
In general we were happiest off the ship, we have low expectations about RCL and the cruise liner does not exceed them. Anything associated with them costs more than it should but if you go off ship you get cheaper and better. The food was adequate and different which we like since we don't like to have the same as home. After the last night in Halifax there was a storm at sea so we had to stay in port but could not go off the ship nor was the casino open, we were supposed to leave at 6:00 am but the Capitan did not leave until 8:30 am. My wife was worried about our 10:00 am flight the next day in Boston. But the Capitan drove the ship so the passengers knew that they were on a ship. We were supposed a Meet & Mingle on Thursday but RCL hijacked it with a trivia quiz and raffle so nobody who any one was and meet those who we read about online. So don't bother to sign up unless you need more tacky stuff. Anyway we did the walk off with our luggage and we were able to make our flight in time and glad to be home. We think we will a looong time before we cruise again.
went to see family and then went on cruise
