For my husband and I this was our second trip with RCI to Maine and Canada out of Boston. Last year we took the Brilliance of the Seas and were lucky with a once time only 9 day cruise that included three more stops than this year. Rockland in Maine, Charlottetown PEI, and Sydney in New Brunswick. I would take that one again if they offered it. This time we were on the Serenade for 7 days with four stops. Portland and Bar Harbor Maine, St. John New Brunswick, and Halifax Nova Scotia. It was the last cruise of the season before heading south.

The weather cooperated and there was no rain during the day, and only one day was it really cold. The foliage still was not at peak even though it was late in the season. Since we live close to the port of Boston this is an easy and relaxing cruise for us. We enjoy the ship as much as the ports, and the Radiance class is our favorite. We have been on all four ships in this class now.

We upgraded at the last minute to a Junior Suite, our first. I really enjoyed the extra space, and the extra points but would probably not choose without the price break we got at the last minute, We are very happy with a balcony for the two of us. Our steward Nanco was exceptional, very personable when ever we saw him, and our cabin was cleaned spotless and ready each time we returned. He took care of every request promptly and with a smile.

Great location near the Centrum on Deck 10. Lots of space, both a couch and a chair and ottoman. Loved the walk in closet, and large bathroom including a good size tub. Balcony included two chairs and a low table. Everything was in good repair.
