Celebrity Silhouette Review

Service great but additional on board charges extortionate. Taking the mick!

Took this cruise as it's main destination was Israel. The service was excellent, the ship lovely, but....

# Arriving at Rome Airport was a shambles. Absolute chaos. Even the rep taking us to the coach did not know where to go and took us the wrong way for at least 10 mins, before realising her mistake and we had to retrace our steps to go in the opposite direction. On arrival at the port, the check in process went reasonably smoothly.

# surprised to find no tea/coffee facility in cabin, especially as it was a balcony cabin. Luckily I had a drinks package, so did not have to pay the 18% service charge for any bar charges, etc., on top of the usual daily gratuities.

Deluxe Veranda 2B

Cabin 2B

Lovely cabin, but insufficient drawer space. No coff/tea facility, told to order room service if required, but as I liked a cuppa late at night, there was a charge for room service after 11.00 pm. Cabin was well laid out. Cabin Stewart was very attentive.
