We took this cruise to celebrate our 24th anniversary. We chose it for the itinerary - always wanted to see the British Isles and figured a cruise was the best way to do it. This was our 10th Celebrity Cruise. It was about 6 years since our last Celebrity cruise, so some of my comments will reflect the changes we noticed.

I booked directly with Celebrity, and their agents were very helpful.

We flew from Chicago and arrived at gate D51 at AMS. After a pretty long walk (I don't believe I'm exaggerating to say it was 2 miles) we got to baggage claim and got to meet the friendly people from Viking River Cruises and HAL. Yes, Celebrity is missing from that list. Once we claimed our bags we asked around and finally the HAL folks directed us to a waiting area that Celebrity had established. Bus to the ship worked out OK, but the check-in process was really slow - we got the agent who took 15 minutes to swipe our passports, etc.
