Sail Date: Jul 2016
Cabin: Concierge Class 2

Embarkation was excellent and was invited into moonlight sonata for lunch. Cabin was what we expected on deck 10 as we had sailed on the Eclipse 2 years ago and we had selected a cabin in a similar area. The cabin was always clean and everything connected with the cabin was dealt with by Elmore and his assistant in an excellent manner.

The Restaurant:We have always requested to be on a table for between 6-8 persons and that request has always been granted but on this occasion we were given a table for two.We know a request is not guaranteed but when we asked to change we were offered a table for four with a Spanish speaking couple,GREAT,what a brilliant cruise they would have had if we could not converse. We were then given a table for four with a great couple from Braintree who really made our cruise enjoyable. There were a lot of Spanish speaking people in the dining room possibly Mexican who had all seemed to occupy most of the large tables. They were really noisy at times and one or more of them wore baseball caps in the restaurant (against dress code) and continued to do so even on elegant chic nights and they also wore puffer jackets. This was pointed out to the female maitre de but little or nothing was done. The food was about the same as about two years ago but if you want soup you have to ask and ok the meals are not large portions but if you cannot get enough food from early in a morning then tough I feel sorry for you.

DRESS CODE: Has been relaxed and if a man thinks he looks smart in a pair of jeans with bold stitching and his shirt tails hanging out of his trousers on a chic night he must be from planet zogg.About 50% of the men wore dinner jackets and the dress code reminded us of the Ocean Village when it was for people who did not do cruises and it looks as though Celebrity are trying to tap into the market to fill the ships. Most of the ladies looked very smart it is the dress code for men which puts the men to shame.

Cabin Review

Concierge Class 2

Cabin C2

As what we expected as we were on this ship 2 years ago.The cabin attendant Elmore and his assistant were excellent and kept the cabin spotless and kept all the toiletries topped up.Our cabin was very quiet as we had good neighbours.
