We chose this cruise, as we wished to do a transatlantic sailing, on a large ship. We also liked the ports of call. We stayed on the Baja floor, interior room. The room felt wider than other cruise lines, but it had depressions in the
floor. Also some other areas of ship/ elevators had same. We had never experienced this on MSC, Holland America or Royal Caribbean & Vantage.
We ate most meals in the Horizon Buffet, as service too slow in DR to make 1st show. The shows were excellent, but first show very crowded, not enough seats. We have been on 10+ cruises, all over the world & this was our first sail on Princess Cruiseline. There were approximately 3,000 passengers onboard & I feel the empathy level is lower on these larger ships, as seen in the competition for seats in Theater, lines/ seats in Horizon Room & Laundry facilities...I saw more conflict than on any other cruise line.
It was a wide interior cabin. We were startled to feel depressions ( structural rot?) in the floor. It had lots of storage in closet & under bed, more than other cruise lines. Romy, our room steward, was pleasant, accommodating & provided excellent service. We only drank bottled water & had it delivered to room. We had a nice refrigerator. Shower. BR nice storage. We usually do interior rooms on ocean cruises, as want darkness & quiet for sleep. If you seperate beds, the right one, as you enter, will be next to AC duct & slightly noisy. Tolerable but be aware.
