As first time cruisers we didn't really know what to expect. After months and months of researching and meeting some wonderful people on our roll call the time had come to begin our journey. We stayed a couple of night beforehand in Venice and decided to embark early. The embarkation process was very easy and very exciting. Once aboard we were greeted by the extremely friendly staff and a glass of champagne. After wandering around for awhile and getting our bearings we were able to go our cabin. We were pleasantly surprised with the size but a little disappointed to find a double bed. My best friend and I didn't want to share but this was fixed by a quick trip down to guest relations.

I could write pages and pages of wonderful memories but I will try not to write War & Peace. The food was amazing, the service even better. We sat in the same area of the main dinning room each night and our servers were AMAZING!!! They even managed to get us special food that wasn't on the menu. The entertainment was a bit hit and miss but we did go to the shows every night and to the Reflections bar every night for a dance. As novices we didn't know much about the cabins or cabin classes but we were extremely happy with our cabin 2014 especially since we had quite a bit of rough weather. We now know more about the different cabins after doing a cabin crawl with our roll call mates, in saying that I would still stick with a lower deck oceanview room. I don't think our cruise would have been as memorable without the brilliant roll call friends we made. Cruise critic is a true gem and I have been recommending it everyone I know who cruises.
